Big Japanese shibori silk, drop-shaped earrings

These colorful statement earrings feature silk from a Japanese kimono with shibori (tie-dye) technique. The fabric has been waxed for resistance and stitched on to a home-made copper-wire frame with wool thread. Sterling silver hooks. The measures are 1.75" / 4.2cm at its widest and 2" / 5cm tall.
