Opphämta geometric weave in distinct colors

The weaving technique, in this beautiful piece from southern Sweden/Scania, is 'opphämta', where a heavier pattern thread creates a design through floats over a plain-weave ground cloth. Both dark/black base and thread (red, mint orange, aqua, beige/light yellow) are in wool. This is a fun geometric piece that can serve as special table cloth, draping an armchair, or at the base of a bed. The condition is very good although some fading particularly in beige/yellow sections. The measures are 49.5" long (126cm) and 40" wide (102cm).
